Summary
13 November 2023, all 54 FIFA affiliated national teams from CAF (Confederation of African Football) started qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. For this qualification process, all 54 teams were seeded into 9 groups of 6. The winner of each group qualifies directly to the 2026 World Cup. The four best 2nd place teams will have a playoff to determine the CAF representative in the inter-confederation playoffs.
