Summary
The UEFA Euro 2024 (EURO) is scheduled to run from 14 June 2024 to 14 July 2024. This tournament is held every 4 years. The UEFA Euro 2024 will be held in 10 cities in Germany. The final will be held in Olympiastadion (Berlin). Italy is the defending champion.
Participants were determined by 2022-23 UEFA Nations League Overall Ranking and by the UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying Playoffs.
Group Stage table ranking ties are broken by (1) points accumulated amongst tied teams, (2) goal difference amongst tied teams, (3) goals scored amongst tied teams, (4) tie breakers 1-3 will be reapplied to 2 tied teams if more than 2 were originally tied, (5) goal difference, (6) goals scored, (7) total wins, (8) penalty shoot-out, (9) Fair Play conduct, then (10) higher 2022-23 UEFA Nations League Overall Ranking. For all "Knockout" matches, if a match is still tied after regulation time, extra time (two 15-minute periods) is played.
