Summary
The Saudi Professional League (KSA1) is the top football league in the Saudi Arabia football system. At the end of the 2018-2019 KSA1 season, the KSA1 teams listed below qualify for the following non-league play:
- 2020 AFC Champions League - Group Stage:
- 1st and 2nd place 2018-2019 KSA1 teams
- 2020 AFC Champions League - Playoff Round:
- 3rd place 2018-2019 KSA1 team
The winner of the 2018-2019 Custodian Of The Two Holy Mosques Cup or King Cup, typically an KSA1 team, also receives a berth in the Group Stage of the 2020 AFC Champions League.

Season Format
Each KSA1 team plays Home-Away matches with the other 15 KSA1 teams for a total of 30 league matches. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) head-to-head points, (2) head-to-head goal difference, (3) total goal difference, (4) total goals scored, then (5) playoff (only for deciding KSA1 champion, relegation, or AFC competition berths).

Not applicable.
Relegation
At the end of the 2018-2019 Regular season, the 14th, 15th, and 16th place KSA1 teams will be relegated directly to the KSA2. The 13th place KSA1 team will have a Home-Away highest aggregate score wins Promotion/Relegation Playoff with the 4th place KSA2 team. The winner of this playoff plays in the 2019-2020 KSA1 and the loser plays in the 2019-2020 KSA2.
