Summary

The Lebanese Premier League (LIB1) is the top football league in the Lebanese football system. At the end of the 2022-2023 LIB1 season, the LIB1 teams listed below qualify for the following non-league play:

2024 AFC Champions League - Qualifying Playoffs:
- 1st place 2022-2023 LIB1 Championship Round team
2024 AFC Cup - Group Stage:
- 2nd and 3rd place 2022-2023 LIB1 Championship Round teams

The winner of the 2023 Lebanese FA Cup, typically an LIB1 team, also receives a berth in the Group Stage of the 2024 AFC Cup.

Season Format

The LIB1 season consists of 2 phases. In the first phase, each LIB1 team plays matches with the other 11 LIB1 teams once for a total of 11 league matches per team. The second phase consists of the Championship Round and the Relegation Round. In the Championship Round, the top six teams play each other twice (10 more matches) to determine final rankings for 2024 AFC Champions League and 2024 AFC Cup placements. In the Relegation Round, the bottom six teams play each other twice (10 more matches) to determine the relegation placements. Table ranking ties are broken by (1) head-to-head points, (2) head-to-head goal difference, (3) total goal difference, (4) total goals scored, then (5) a drawing.

Not applicable.

Relegation

At the end of the 2022-2023 Regular season, the 5th and 6th place Relegation Round LIB1 teams will be relegated directly to the LIB2.
