The winner of the 2022 Suomen Cup (Finnish Cup), typically a FIN1 team, also receives a berth in the 1st Qualifying Round of the 2023 - 2024 UEFA Europa Conference League.

Season Format
Each FIN1 team plays Home/Away matches against the other 11 FIN1 teams for a total of 22 regular season league matches. At the end of regular season, the top 6 teams play in the Championship Series, while the bottom 6 teams play in the Relegation Series. For each series, each team plays against the other 5 teams in their group once for 5 more matches (27 total league matches). Table ranking ties are broken by (1) goal difference, (2) goals scored, (3) head-to-head points, (4) head-to-head goal difference, (5) head-to-head away goals scored, then (6) a playoff.

Relegation
At the end of the 2022 FIN1 Regular season, the 6h place FIN1 Relegation Round team is relegated to the FIN2, and the 11th place FIN1 Relegation Round team plays Home-Away highest aggregate goals wins playoff matches with the 2nd place FIN2 team. The playoff winner and the 1st place FIN2 are promoted to the 2023 FIN1.
